From the culturally iconic city of Aleppo, Faia moved to Sweden at the age of 11, carrying in her heart the oriental authentic tunes and music that uplifts the soul no matter how far you are from home.
In 2014, her very first video, in partnership with her sister Rihan, "To Our Countries” which addressed the countries torn by war, went viral with more than 5 million views on YouTube and consequently received tremendous attention on the media.
FaiaYounan made history by becoming the first female Arab singer to crowdfund her debut single “OhebbouYadayka” (I Love Your Hands), which made her enter the Guinness World Records Book. She was also named the Best Syrian Singer at the German music award: Daf Bama Music Awards for 2018.
Faia has been holding live performances and concerts in various cities over the past three years. Her concerts witnessed a record-breaking success and won interest from different generations and cultures, which in turn placed her in the top list of young artists who present art with purpose that carries in its core cultural, social and humanitarian values.
